Job Summary
The Lead CNA/HHA/QMA will play a key role in maintaining seamless operations by floating between client assignments and filling schedule gaps wherever necessary. This role is ideal for a flexible, dependable professional who can adapt to various care environments and ensure that clients receive high-quality, compassionate care.
Caregivers at Graceful Aging Home Care provide essential services to individuals in their own homes who need assistance due to aging, illness, disability, or other conditions. This position requires a strong commitment to delivering care in a respectful and professional manner, adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Schedule Coverage: Float between assignments and fill open shifts to ensure continuity of care.
- Follow and execute the written care plan for each client.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
- Ensure client safety and security by maintaining a clean and organized home environment and monitoring for hazards.
- Provide companionship, including meaningful social interactions, emotional reassurance, and engaging activities to stimulate mental well-being.
- Plan and prepare meals according to dietary needs.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as changing linens, vacuuming, laundry, and tidying up living spaces.
- Provide medication reminders to ensure adherence to care plans.
- Assist with transportation and errands (e.g., grocery shopping, banking, pharmacy visits).
- Complete and maintain accurate client records and documentation as required.
- Serve as a team leader when needed, mentoring other caregivers and ensuring quality care delivery.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of personal care techniques and home management skills.
- Understanding of client-centered care principles, including quality standards and client satisfaction.
- Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions effectively.
- Strong knowledge of clerical tasks, including maintaining records and completing required documentation.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and adaptability in a variety of care environments.
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in the English language.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CNA, HHA, or QMA certification (required).
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Auto insurance meeting state requirements.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
Working Conditions
- The Lead CNA/HHA/QMA will float across various client assignments and locations as needed throughout Indianapolis and nearby areas, including Greenwood, Greenfield, Avon, Carmel, Fishers, Zionsville, and Lebanon.
- Requires the ability to adapt to changing schedules and environments.
- May involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure client needs are met.
