Job Summary

At Graceful Aging Home Care, caregivers provide essential, compassionate services to individuals in their own homes who need assistance due to aging, illness, disability, or other conditions. Caregivers ensure all care is delivered respectfully, professionally, and in accordance with company policies and industry standards.

We are actively hiring caregivers for clients in Indianapolis and nearby areas, including Greenwood, Greenfield, Avon, Carmel, Fishers, Zionsville, and Lebanon.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow the written care plan tailored to each client’s needs.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
• Ensure client safety and security by maintaining a clean and hazard-free home environment.
• Provide companionship through social interaction, meaningful conversations, and emotional support.
• Encourage activities that stimulate the client’s mind and improve overall well-being.
• Plan and prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including changing linens, vacuuming, laundry, and general tidying.
• Provide medication reminders to help clients stay on schedule.
• Assist with transportation and errands, such as trips to the grocery store, pharmacy, or bank.
• Complete and maintain accurate client records and daily care documentation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet client needs.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Understanding of personal care and home management skills.
• Ability to provide client-centered care, meeting quality standards and ensuring satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills with proficiency in the English language.
• Basic clerical skills for maintaining records and completing forms.
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA or HHA license preferred but not required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation required. 
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not required. 
• Proof of auto insurance meeting state requirements preferred but not required.
